2025 Reading List

2024 was a banner year for my “Read” list. I had the benefit of working at the county library for the first half of the year – lots of access to great books there. And then when I switched jobs, I had one of those rare positions where, so long as my tasks were complete, I was free to spend my waiting time with a book (mostly on my phone).

And so, I managed to read almost 90 books in 2024. Maybe by the end of the year I’ll have passed the 90 mark. I’m a bit tempted to cram several into the last few days to make it to 100 but that seems needlessly hectic.

In anticipation of a new year and more of the same in terms of quiet pockets where reading is welcome, I’ve gone a bit wild with the reading lists this year. Over the last few years I’ve found some good prompt lists and this year I went ahead and used them all to build a hefty 2025 Reading List. From PopSugar, Book Riot, The 52 Book Club, and EBSCO’s Novelist, I’ve got a robust list of over 100 books on my TBR pile for 2025 and I’m looking forward to every one.

I use Goodreads to shelve the books and StoryGraph for data visualization. Perhaps I’ll get back into writing thoughtful reviews. Who knows.
